RCP HAS A MURAL!

A crew of PAL members painted a mural on the wall of the Buttonwood Street side of the building during the weekend of July 20/21/22. Additionally, they painted the fence that encloses the yard and upgraded the yard space as well.

Our contact was Meghan Blevins, Program Coordinator of the Mentoring and the Arts Program at the PAL. Guest artist was Jessica Sheetz, who helped the students design and execute the mural.

RAILROAD PLAYS CHOSEN!

The winning entrants in the RCP/Reading Railroad Museum one-act play contest have been chosen by a committee of both organizations.

The winning plays and their authors are:

Identity Theft by August Nigro of Allentown

The Lightning Train by Barbara Bryan of Baltimore

The plays will be presented at the Reading Railroad Museum in Hamburg in the fall, with RCP managing the production.

RAY BATASTINI BECOMES LIFE MEMBER!

RCP membership honored Raymond Batastini for his long stage career and contributions to our theatre at the June membership meeting.

Some of Ray's best works have included the very difficult roles of the old man in Prelude to a Kiss, the villainous man in Death and the Maiden, the wonderful old Jewish widower in Visiting Mr. Green and Willie in Death of a Salesman.

We are all happy to welcome him into Life Membership at Reading Community Players.
